Ski season stars soon, so where a londoner can go ?
If you live in London now and you want to get some ski exercise, you probably have to get to the continent or on Scandinavia. Let’s explore together the options for those who want to ski this winter, but don’t really have a location in mind.
If you live in London and you want to go skiing, the closest nations for ski are Switzerland, Austria and France. All of the have excellent slopes in which you can have fun, but ski Austria looks interesting if you want to go to a different town every day, because you have a lot of ski resorts like Ischgl, Kappl, Landeck, Langenfeld, Nauders, Pfunds, Serfaus, Solden, Tirol Artberg, Vent or Wangle. And those are just some of the great resorts in Austria, but there are many more.
If you want to go in Switzerland, you might need to know that Swiss products are quite expensive, so better take what you need from France or Germany. But if you want to visit some ski resorts in Switzerland, here are some locations: Zermatt, Samnaun, Saas-Fee, Lenk, Savognin, Disentis, Grachen, Pizol, Rigi, Davos, Arosa, Obersaxen Mundaun, Lenzerheide or Toggenburg. Quite a lot of location here as well, right ?
France also have a lot of location where you can ski, but the most impressive sites are those at great height, over 3000 meters, locations like Ski Pass Mont Blanc, Chamonix, Les Deux Alpes, Grand Galaxie, La Grave, Espace Killy, Val d’Isere, Tignes, Alpe d’Huez, Vaujany, Argentiere, La Plagne, Paradiski, Bonneval-sur-Arc or Val Thorens.
So, in short, you don have some great options for a ski vacantion in Continental Europe.
I was actually going to tell you some of the scandinavian best resorts, but it turns out that those countries are quite expensive and I actually didn’t bothered to much with them because of that. There are good locations with a lot of snow all over the winter in Norway, Sweden or Finland, but budget wise, it’s better to head in Europe.
